The 2020 Summer Olympics opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, 23 July 2021 at Olympic Stadium, Tokyo.
At this stage in the hiring process, more co-op jobs will be posted daily on the WaterlooWorks Co-op job board and you can apply, interview and rank jobs every week until you're matched!
With so much uncertainty in our current economic climate, some employers may have chosen to defer their hiring until later in the term, as this would give them more time to determine their hiring needs while benefiting from shorter employment cycles. That said, please check your dashboard often for any new postings, interview notices or ranking results.
Here's an overview of what to expect over the next few weeks:
Jobs will be posted daily beginning July 16 and will remain open for two business days.
Interviews will take place virtually Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Employer ranking results will be published every Thursday at 8:00 PM
Student rankings will be due every Friday morning at 10:00 AM.
Match results will be published at the end of every week until August 13.
For a full list of dates and deadlines, consult our important dates calendar.

Ranking options: you can submit up to three "Not Interested" rankings per term to guarantee that you will not matched with a job. Finally, remember to continue monitoring the Hire Waterloo: Other and External job boards in WaterlooWorks for new postings. Especially in light of the current economic climate, many employers may be posting jobs on the "Other" job board that don't quite meet our standard requirements for co-op credit, but could be approved under our new flexible pathways work term requirements.
As always, if you have questions about the WaterlooWorks employment process, you can send a message to your co-op advisor. Please also continue monitoring our Fall 2021 work term webpage for a full list of resources to help you find a job, including guidelines for international students.
